He build up the Section \u201cElectrochemical Energy Storage\u201d of the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) in Villigen, Switzerland.\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/blockquote>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6625c2fd elementor-widget-divider--view-line elementor-widget elementor-widget-global elementor-global-616 elementor-widget-divider\" data-id=\"6625c2fd\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"divider.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-divider\">\n\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-divider-separator\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7d6bfb6f elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"7d6bfb6f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Petr Nov\u00e1k completed his degree in chemistry at the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague (Czech Republic, then Czechoslovakia) in 1980, where he went on to obtain a doctorate in electrochemical engineering three years later. From 1983, he worked as a research scientist at the J. Heyrovsky Institute of Physical Chemistry and Electrochemistry in Prague for five years. 1988-\u200b1989 he worked at the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the University of Bonn, Germany.<\/p>\n<p>In 1994, Petr Nov\u00e1k received his habilitation in chemical technology of inorganic materials from the University of Chemistry and Technology in\u00a0Prague. In 1990, he spent a year working as a group leader at the J. Heyrovsky Institute of Physical Chemistry and Electrochemistry in Prague.
