electrical engineering at Aachen University of Technology (RWTH Aachen) and Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU Trondheim) and joined the Electric Vehicle group of Adam Opel AG in 1995.<\/p>\n<p>During his career, Horst Mettlach worked on the development of battery systems of different technologies (lead acid, NiMH, NaNiCl and Li-Ion) for Electric, Fuel Cell and Extended-Range Electric Vehicles (Chevrolet Volt and Opel Ampera). In addition, he represents Adam Opel AG \/ Opel Automobile GmbH in national and European research projects as well as in standardization committees and national and European working groups on electrical energy storage systems.<\/p>\n<p>His current position is \u201eGlobal Technical Specialist\u201c for rechargeable energy storage system with focus on development of MHEV Li-Ion battery systems for Stellantis.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1827d854 elementor-widget-divider--view-line elementor-widget elementor-widget-global
